What is florum?
florum is a creative studio for exploration and growth. The name combines “flourish” and “forum” to reflect its purpose—a space where ideas connect, interests grow, and people learn together. Whether you’re a beginner or returning to art, florum offers a welcoming environment to try new mediums and create with others.

Bring a reference you love and turn it into a painting! We’ll help you plan, mix colors, and paint with intention. You’ll leave with a finished piece and a better understanding of approaching painting on your own.

NEW—This class is about being generative and expressing ideas; we'll all loosely follow the same painting with plenty of room to go off-script if that’s your instinct.
You'll learn value, composition, and brushwork—but the real goal is to create "mess," refine it, and ultimately make something that feels true to you.

I grew up drawing and painting and was lucky to learn from many great teachers. Today, I work as a software engineer and balance my time between New Jersey and New York City. I started florum to share the joy of learning and making art. My goal is for you to feel comfortable experimenting, growing, and finding inspiration in the process.
Hi, I'm Jenny!
I’m an artist and designer based in NY! Growing up, I trained at the same studio as Eddie and later taught K–12 students. I learned from amazing professors in different creative fields—they taught me what it means to be generative and express ideas, even as a complete beginner. That's how I think about art—and it's what I hope to share in all of my classes.
